The People Behind Every Deal Well Done

World Lending Group is built on a simple conviction: access to capital should follow opportunity, not geography. Our team combines decades of multilateral finance, cross-border structuring, legal precision, and operational depth — so that every transaction we touch is designed to close, comply, and perform.

Market Creation

We don’t just serve existing markets — we build new ones. WLG connects U.S.-dollar capital to Colombian real estate in ways the traditional banking system was never designed to do, opening ownership to a global audience.

Risk Management

Every loan is structured with institutional-grade discipline. From Colombian mortgage registration and KYC/AML compliance to cross-border payment architecture and legal enforceability, risk is managed at every layer of the transaction.

Execution Excellence

Structuring is only as good as its execution. Our team has closed transactions across governments, multilaterals, and private investors in a dozen countries — and we bring that operating precision to every client engagement.

Leadership

Executive Team

A rare combination of entrepreneurial drive and institutional pedigree, united by a shared mission to make cross-border real estate finance work the way it should.

BH

Brian C. Herron

Chief Executive Officer

Brian is the architect of the WLG platform — a seasoned real estate finance executive who identified an underserved market and built the institutional infrastructure to serve it at scale. Since 2021, he has developed WLG’s end-to-end operating stack: an investor-based multi-entity corporate structure designed to attract and protect capital, compliant borrower workflows, AI-assisted underwriting, cross-border USD payment systems, and investor-reporting frameworks trusted by institutional and high-net-worth partners. His focus on governance design and operational compliance has been central to positioning WLG as a credible counterparty for sophisticated investors entering the Colombian real estate lending market. Brian’s ability to translate complex regulatory and financial requirements into scalable operating systems has allowed WLG to grow its lending activity while maintaining the controls and transparency that institutional capital demands.

Prior to WLG, Brian led QPS Property Group in Cincinnati, managing a 873-unit residential portfolio to 92% occupancy through disciplined operating systems. He also built Globull, a global seller-financing marketplace with regulatory feasibility mapped across 23 countries, integrating payments, KYC/AML, and modular legal automation by jurisdiction. Brian brings over two decades of high-volume real estate and mortgage experience and the operational instinct to move decisively in complex, multi-jurisdictional environments.

Contribution to WLG

Brian defines the strategic direction of WLG — from capital architecture and investor relations to technology systems and regulatory design — ensuring the platform scales without sacrificing compliance or investor trust.

Ángel Marcés

Chief Financial Officer

Ángel brings more than 20 years of institutional experience in cross-border financing across Latin America, the U.S., and global markets. At IDB Invest and the IDB’s Infrastructure and Energy Department, he structured complex transactions in energy, renewables, and industrial PPPs, and led the origination of Ecuador’s first sovereign-backed energy and mining loan. He has since advised Arthur D. Little on renewable energy financing in Colombia and the French Development Agency (AFD) on national energy strategy in Ecuador. His independent practice spans DFC-backed guarantee programs, infrastructure across LATAM and Africa, and the financing of U.S.-based projects and companies through short and long-term debt and hybrid structures. He holds a Master’s in Finance from Universidad del Pacífico, with research focused on risk structuring in highly complex transactions using quantitative simulation methods including Monte Carlo analysis, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from PUCP centered on monetary policy and financial market intervention.

Ángel has engineered the evolution path of WLG’s capital model to arbitrage the opportunity of cross-border demand with Colombia’s residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) maturity — a market with over two decades of secondary market infrastructure for mortgage portfolios. WLG is now positioned to operate within that framework in a more scalable, market-oriented way, moving beyond investor-dependent funding toward securitization mechanisms and portfolio-level financing that access broader and more sustainable capital sources.

Contribution to WLG

Ángel leads WLG’s financial strategy and capital markets execution — architecting the shift toward RMBS-aligned portfolio financing, structuring warehouse lines, term debt, and hybrid instruments, while overseeing financial modeling, risk management, treasury, and portfolio performance with institutional rigor.

WLG's operations team provides the day-to-day execution depth, legal enforceability, and accounting integrity that institutional lending demands.

RV

Robinson Andrés Villa Naranjo

Operations Advisor

Robinson is a seasoned Colombian business professional with a deep track record in banking, lending, and strategic commercial development. He managed the largest placement agency at Coopetraban, leading a 25-person team through growth cycles in credit origination and collections. As a branch manager at Banco de Bogotá, his office ranked in the top 5 nationally across more than 600 branches on profitability metrics, while maintaining below-average past-due loan ratios for the Antioquia region. He holds an MBA from the Universidad de Cádiz, a business administration degree, and a specialization in business management — complemented by ongoing work as founder of Decifra, a Medellín-based financial structuring and debt advisory firm.

At WLG, Robinson leverages his institutional banking intelligence and local market relationships to optimize borrower intake, loan servicing operations, and portfolio monitoring in Colombia — including the origination and follow-up of mortgage-backed loan files — ensuring the platform runs with the discipline of a regulated lender.

Sergio Andrés Trujillo Bello

Legal Advisor

Sergio is the director of AltaBufete S.A.S., a Medellín-based commercial law firm he has built over 12 years into a multi-disciplinary practice representing more than 3,600 natural and legal persons, 142 NGOs, and 236 horizontal properties. He holds a law degree from Universidad de Medellín complemented by an extensive graduate-level specialization program at the same institution — comprising advanced diplomas in commercial law and markets, tax law, customs and foreign exchange law, business legal management, financial management, and insolvency. He further holds a specialization in commercial law from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana. This multilayered academic formation, combined with 12 years of complex case leadership, makes him the definitive legal anchor for WLG’s Colombian lending operations.

Sergio structures WLG’s Colombian mortgage registration, lien perfection and enforcement, notarial deed processes, shareholder agreements, and dispute resolution pathways — providing the legal backbone that protects both lender and borrower throughout the transaction lifecycle, and ensuring each mortgage is correctly constituted and enforceable under Colombian law.

Jimmy Andrés García C.

Accounting & Tax Advisor

Andrés is a certified Colombian public accountant and the founder of ASEMCO (Asesoría y Consultoría), a professional services firm offering integrated accounting, fiscal, and financial reporting services to Colombian businesses. He holds a specialization in tax management and control from Universidad Luis Amigó, and is additionally trained in U.S. taxation through Hispanic Tax Consulting — a rare bilingual competence that directly serves WLG’s cross-border structure. His practice covers DIAN filings, VAT, source withholding, income tax, wealth tax, electronic invoicing (RADIAN), payroll, and NIIF (IFRS) compliance.

Andrés ensures that WLG’s Colombian operations meet all DIAN reporting requirements, maintain clean financial statements under NIIF standards, and are correctly structured for both Colombian tax purposes and the cross-border reporting obligations that international investors require. His work includes the accounting treatment of mortgage loan portfolios, accrual recognition, and the financial reporting standards applicable to real estate-backed lending operations.

Our Commitment

Every member of the WLG team was chosen because they have done this work at the highest levels — inside multilateral development banks, institutional lenders, commercial courts, and regulatory bodies.

That experience means we understand exactly what can go wrong — and we structure every transaction to ensure it doesn’t. Risk management is not a checkbox at WLG. It is the foundation everything else is built on.
